Haemowear was founded in 2022 by two childhood friends, Jamie and Graeme, in Dundee, Scotland, as a UK-based adaptive clothing and medical clothing brand focused on creating practical and comfortable clothing solutions for people undergoing medical treatment, particularly haemodialysis patients in the UK. Our mission is to provide adaptive clothing UK solutions that improve comfort, dignity, and independence for people living with medical conditions, reduced mobility, or recovery needs. Graeme was born in 1999 with renal dysplasia affecting both kidneys and received a kidney transplant in 2008 from a deceased donor in Sevilla, Spain. In 2019, his body began to reject the transplant, and he returned to dialysis treatment, which deeply influenced the creation of Haemowear. In early 2022, Jamie’s mother, Jane, joined the living donation scheme, and by the end of that year both Graeme and Jane had successful matches, strengthening the vision behind the brand. Today, Haemowear designs easy dressing clothing, disability clothing, and post surgery clothing UK solutions, focusing on adaptive features such as comfort fabrics and practical design for everyday use. In 2025, we partnered with the Tayside Kidney Patients Association (TKPA) to support renal patients across Ninewells Hospital, Perth Royal Infirmary, and Arbroath, providing over 50 patients with Haemowear garments through free and discounted distribution. In 2026, we partnered with VOCAL’s Treasure Tree in Edinburgh, a social enterprise supporting mobility and accessibility equipment, where Haemowear clothing is now available at Ocean Terminal. Our mission is to lead the growth of adaptive fashion UK, improving independence and quality of life through thoughtfully designed comfort wear for real medical needs.
